Storing Christmas Decor with The Container Store

This post is brought to you by The Container Store. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you know me, you know I can’t wait for the holidays – it is absolutely my favorite time of the year. In the last few years I’ve been hosting Christmas and every year I accumulate more and more decor meaning  – there’s more to store. Enter The Container Store and their genius holiday decor storage

Holiday dinnerware is a big deal to me but honestly, so is all of my holiday decor. Because I typically add and edit decor year to year, how I store and organize it is important.

The goal? Not to drive Hubs crazy with Christmas stuff all over the garage Jan through October. And I’ll admit, it drives me crazy if my Christmas decor isn’t neatly stored, too. With a little planning and organization, keeping my precious holiday keepsakes is super simple because of the right storage.

The 3 things I take seriously – the Christmas tree ornaments, the wreath and all the delicate decor I decorate the table and mantle with.

For the ornaments, my go to is the Multi-Compartment Ornament Storage Tray which allows me to easily place each ornament in its own little compartment which gives me peace of mind. The worst is individually wrapping ornaments only to find some of them broken the following year. This storage tray is stackable, fits most ornaments and doesn’t require wrapping up each ornament – saving you time when it’s time to pack up your holiday decor. One of my storage pieces from The Container Store, honestly.

When it comes to the wreath I hang on the front door, the 24” Red Wreath Box makes it so easy to pack up. No more trying to awkwardly fit your wreath in boxes that totally didn’t have it in mind. Plus, you can stand the wreath box up or lay it flat to make it fit your storage. Come on, versatility!

For my miscellaneous items, I like to use the Open Canvas Storage Bins with Labels. (There are labels on both sides!) These bins come in such a great variety of sizes and the labels make it easy to find exactly what you’re looking for. Because they’re canvas, you can put soft items in them or even delicate decor with some packing paper or natural excelsior

If you’re like me and you have a faux Christmas tree, the Sterilite Tree Storage Box is amazing storage and you don’t have to use the cardboard box you bought it in. (Which gets flimsy and beat up in garage after a while.)

Between moving into our new home this year and having to buy much more decor because of all the space we now have, storage was a big deal to make sure I stayed organized. If you’re looking for a solution to storing your holiday decor, The Container Store is the answer. It makes packing up your holiday decor so easy!
