In this episode of the podcast, I’m talking to all my people who love planning but notice their plans aren’t coming to fruition. You can over plan and still be under prepared. (I know this from experience.) Today, we’ll talk about exactly how to fix that.
Recently, on Twitter I went on a rant on how planning isn’t enough. Again, I know this from experience. I have all different kinds of planners & list techniques & when I was solely relying on those, I was still coming up short.
The issue is that we’re taught that if we plan, we’ll produce. That’s only the truth to an extent. Planning is important & necessary to accomplishing your goals, but when you rely solely on too much planning you eliminate the other steps of getting things done (which are vital if you plan on actually executing). You need a process that includes planning, positioning, preparing and producing.
Let’s break that down a bit further.
You need a step by step go to system of sorts to help you get from plan to reality. It doesn’t have to be complicated – it’s as easy as 4 steps:
While planning your goals is necessary, it’s null and void without positioning, preparing and producing. All of these things are necessary to make an idea come to life and achieve a specific goal. Don’t skip these steps because they’re “inconvenient.” Commit to the process to make things come to fruition.

Helping people excites me.
And no, nothing here on this site is rocket science. Just glimpses of my everyday life - what I eat, what I wear, the products I use, how I work and how I take care of myself. If that’s your sort of thing - you know, life - then this is totally the place for you.
