How To Accomplish Your Goals

This post is sponsored by Affirm. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

With the New Year finally here, you’re probably thinking about how to accomplish your goals. I’ve been thinking a lot about my personal goals. What exactly am I trying to accomplish? Being ambitious, especially at the top of the year, and fearlessly declaring what I’m going to accomplish isn’t foreign to me. But this year, I wanted to level up more than usual.

That’s why I’m excited to be teaming up with Affirm on declaring my new goals for 2019. When they asked me to partner up and share with you what three things I’m going to accomplish this year, it was a challenge I was totally up for.

But what I realized is that it’s not about figuring out how to accomplish your goals. Instead of goals, we should focus on creating habits which will inevitably turn into lifestyles. Here are the three habits I’m implementing and affirming this year:

  1. Being healthy and eating greens on a more regular basis. Incorporating smoothies in my diet is a quick and simple way to do that.
  2. Dressing stylishly no matter what size I am.
  3. Becoming a runner and making it a part of my lifestyle.

EATING CLEANER

Using the Ninja Chef High Speed Blender DUO , I’ve been incorporating more greens into my diet. I love carbs and protein like the next person, and I don’t get nearly as much greens in my systems as I need to. However, I love smoothies – especially green ones – filled with spinach, kale, green apple or even celery (I may try to jump on this celery juice trend!). I always have noticeably more energy whenever I eat clean and incorporate more green in my meals. Definitely something I’m looking to make a habit.

When you use Affirm, they make it easy to purchase items like the Ninja Blender by providing easy payment plans with no hidden fees.

DRESSING STYLISHLY AT ANY SIZE

Thanks to Universal Standard, I’ve built my confidence back up to dress boldly even though I’m not my ideal size. But what is an ideal size anyway? My pre-pregnancy body is such an unfair standard to myself because it never had two babies before. But whether I lose weight and get down to my pre-pregnancy weight, or keep on these extra 10 pounds, I’m confidently wearing pieces like this red sweater from Universal Standard. Their pieces are chic and stylish, while being available to everyone from size 6 to 24.

RUNNING DAILY

I don’t mind running or even working out for that matter. But peeling myself out of bed to get in the car and drive to the gym can be a bit daunting for me. Having a home gym isn’t very space- friendly for my house at this time, so I was excited to see that Treadly existed. This thin treadmill rolls right underneath your bed or couch, and starts and stops when you step on and off of it. It’s so easy to use AND store. Plus, not having to commute to the gym is a huge incentive for me to workout more! It’s a lot more reasonably priced than most at-home exercise equipment – plus, Affirm has easy and convenient payment plans!

Being successful this year is less about how to accomplish your goals and more about changing your lifestyle and incorporating routines.

Thanks to Affirm and its merchants (including Ninja, Universal Standard and Treadly), I’m able to get the items I need to kickstart those routines while being financially responsible.

Wow I can’t believe how thin this treadmill looks. I am going to seriously consider purchasing.
